Friends of the Library

Don’t just use the library; be a part of it. The Friends of the Anderson County Library is a nonprofit organization that supports the Anderson County Library System to help promote the growth, development, and greatest possible use of this institution. Membership is open to everyone.

There are many ways to contribute:

Volunteer to work in the Friends Cafe and Book Store or sort through donations. Volunteers must be 18 years old, able to work a cash register, and communicate well. Download an application or ask at the Reference Desk or the Friends Cafe and Book Store at Main Library. Return applications to the Administration Office at Main Library or via email.

Your membership dues, at whatever level, are vital to our organization and to our library in helping to provide financial support for programs and materials that benefit patrons of all ages. In return, you’ll receive discounts at local businesses and advance notice of special Friends programs. Download the Friends of the Library brochure and membership application.

Friends of the Anderson County Library Book Store and Cafe

Located at the Main Library, all proceeds from the Book Store and Café support the Friends of the Anderson County Library.

Offering hot and cold beverages and a large variety of snacks, the Café is open*

The Book Store offers gently used books, magazines, and other materials, with rotating special sales every month. It is open*
