You know we have books, but did you know the library also lends the following types of materials?
- Digital Audiobooks
- Digital Magazines
- Audiobooks on CD
- Audiobooks on Playaway (a small player with the book pre-loaded; just plug in your own headphones and enjoy)
- Audiobooks on cassette
- Music CDs
- Book Clubs in a Bag
If something you want is not available from your library location, we can have it sent from another library in Anderson County. With some exceptions, we can also borrow materials from other libraries in the SC LENDS consortium, which includes the South Carolina State Library and 16 other county libraries in South Carolina. Just place a hold on any item from our online catalog, ask a staff member for help, or call the Reference Desk at 864-260-4500 x126. See the Can’t Find Something? page for more options.
Researching genealogy or local history? The South Carolina Room houses our rare book and manuscript collections, some of which date back hundreds of years. Reference materials must remain in the room, but some local-interest nonfiction and fiction by South Carolina authors may be checked out.
An Anderson County Library card is free for anyone who lives, works, or pays property taxes in Anderson County. Interested in getting a library card? Find out more here.
