  • Each class meets for one session.
  • Classes meet at the Anderson Main Library Computer Training Lab on the second floor.
  • Registration is required: sign up at the Reference Desk or call (864) 260-4500 x126.

Learn how to send, receive, reply and forward email messages with a Yahoo training account. Learn how to set up your own free email account. Practice opening and saving attachments, organizing messages, placing them in folders and creating a contact list. In addition, learn basic email etiquette.

This class is limited to 12 students.

Prerequisite – completion of Mousing Basics and Computer/Internet basics.

Review the basic skills of Microsoft Word and learn more about how to format text and clip art. Learn how to use the more advanced Word functions. Create numbered and bulleted lists, use tab stops, and create tables.

Completion of MS Word Basics or permission of the instructor is required to take this class. Limited to 12 students.

Unravel the mystery of computers as you learn about the parts, the difference between hardware and software, what an operating system is, and how to create and store files. Dive into the internet using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer to perform simple searches and find websites. Learn how to navigate the web and evaluate site content. Get basic online etiquette and Internet safety tips. (Computer Basics now taught with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016)

Get an introduction to the basics of using Excel, a spreadsheet program for data management. Get started using the basic tools: explore the parts of a workbook; learn how to enter, edit, and duplicate data; practice inserting formulas, formatting text, and adjusting sheet layouts and names.
