Closed for Staff Training

All Anderson County Library locations will be closed Friday, December 6 for staff training. FEMA assistance will be available from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Anderson Main Library. 

Interim Library Card Application

Please note: Interim Cards are good for 30 days and are available for patrons who live, work, or go to school in Anderson County. Applications are processed Monday thru Friday. Please allow up to 72 hours for your card application to be processed.

I verify that the information on this form is correct and that I live, work or own property in Anderson County. I agree to keep my library card number private and not share it with others. I understand this Digital Library Card expires in 30 days and in order to renew it and/or check out physical materials, I will need to visit a library location with my picture ID and fill out a Library Card Application.

For children under 16, a parent or legal guardian's permission is required. The parent or legal guardian takes responsibility for all items checked out on the card.

Anderson County Library Internet Use Agreement

Please read carefully before digitally signing.

You must have your own library card in order to use the Internet. You may not use someone else’s card, even with their permission. You may register for a free library card with a picture ID. Cards that have overdue items, or have accrued $10 or more in library fees will be blocked from Internet use.

  1. You must comply with the library’s Patron Code of Conduct and the requests of the Library staff.
  2. In addition to the above terms, you violate this Internet and Computer Use Policy if you do ANY of the following:
  • View, send, or print inappropriate or obscene (as defined by SC Code 16-15-305) websites, images, messages, or files.
  • Violate copyright laws or software licensing agreements.
  • Violate state, federal, or local laws or regulations.
  • Download or install software or programs, or any pornographic content, on Internet or other Library computers.
  • Damage, alter, or tamper with any computer equipment, software, or web filtering services, including time management or printed systems. Ask a staff member if you believe a website has been blocked in error.

Failure to comply with this agreement may result in suspension or revocation of Internet and wireless privileges. I hereby agree to comply with all policies.
