Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Anderson County Library is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) and volunteer organization that provides advocacy and financial support for the Anderson County Library System. The Friends is governed by a volunteer board that meets monthly. 

The Friends of the Anderson County Library support the Library in many ways, including providing support for:

• Summer reading for all ages
• New technology and equipment
• Innovative programming
• Special projects

Your membership dues at any level are vital to our organization and provide financial support for programs and materials that benefit patrons of all ages. 

Membership Levels:

• $25 Individual
• $50 Patron
• $100 Benefactor
• $1,000 Corporate

Love books and supporting the library? Try volunteering! Friends of the Library volunteers organize and run the Friends Bookstore located at the Anderson Main Library as well as process donations. Volunteers must be 18 years old.

Return completed applications via email or in person to the Administration Office at the Main Library.
