The Cover to Cover Book Club at Powdersville Libraray meets in the Cely Family Meeting Room on the first Thursday of the month.
At this meeting, we will discuss Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond. The book examines the poorest neighborhoods of Milwaukee to shed light on how families are stuck in a cycle of homelessness and inequality. This is part of Books & Community, where book clubs and community conversations look at how the Evicted’s topics relate to current issues of housing and poverty in Anderson County.
