Have you inherited property without clear title or deed? You could have heirs' property. Heirs' property is property that is jointly owned by heirs of a deceased person whose estate has not been probated. If you do not have clear title on your property, you are not able to get a mortgage or loans to build on the land. It is also difficult to receive disaster relief assistance.
Learn about heirs’ property, wills, and basic estate planning and how the probate process of transferring property from a deceased person's name works. You will also learn how the Center can help you clear the title to your property. Bring related deeds, tax bills, or probate documents. If you own real property (land/house) you may also want to attend this presentation.
Following the seminar, you can get a free short private consultation with an attorney. Must attend the seminar to receive free on-site consultation.
The Center for Heirs’ Property Preservation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that protects heirs’ property and promotes its sustainable use to provide increased economic benefit to historically under-served families.
