Get an Anderson County Library System card for free access to books, magazines, music, movies, and TV shows. Use your Library card to search online databases, get homework help, or learn a new skill. Enjoy public computers and free wi-fi in every library location, check out fishing or sports equipment, games and puzzles, museum and park passes and much more. Visit our Electric City Creative Makerspace or attend free programs for every age and interest.

Library cards are free for anyone who lives, works, owns property, or goes to school in Anderson County.

 

To get a library card you can:

Visit any library location and ask for a library card.

Download a Library Card Application and return it to any library with your identification.

Apply online for an interim library card. [See more information below.]

Interim library cards are issued for 30 days and allow access to digital resources only. Interim Cards are available for patrons who live, work, own property, or go to school in Anderson County.

Within the 30 day timeframe, simply visit any branch with your Photo ID to transition to a full library card.

Anyone who lives, works, or owns property in Anderson County.

If you live in a neighboring county (Abbeville, Greenville, Oconee, or Pickens), you can get a Reciprocal Library Card to check out physical books. Otherwise Non-Resident cards are offered for $30/year. Nonresident cards also allow use of the digital library.

Library Cards are for all ages. Parents with children under 16 can sign for their child to have a card.

Library Cards expire after 2 years. To renew your card come to any Anderson County Library card with your picture ID and make sure your information is current.
